3D printing enables the creation of complex and customized products that traditional manufacturing methods can’t easily achieve. The industry was through a hype cycle 10-15 years ago, and the technology has since matured to a level where it’s becoming central in areas of prototyping and manufacturing.
The team at Quantica developed and perfected a novel printhead technology that allow for multi-material high viscosity printing. This technology can be applied in many applications, starting within the dental industry.
Quantica invented an advanced material jetting 3D print head that can print a wide range of functional materials in high viscosity. The company has six patentable inventions, with the main patent filed on November 2019.
In collaboration with the German research organization Fraunhofer, Quantica has gained exclusivity of a graphical 3D slicer software, one of the most advanced in the world. The team of 25 people is based in Berlin.
The company launched its first 3D printer in 2022.
